sECURITY
Traditional Internet Based Ordering: Is It Really a Benefit?
We understand that one of your requirements may be to have the option of internet-based ordering. Our recommendation however, is that employers not utilize this method. The reason is “Identity Theft” and the ease at which files are possibly accessed on web servers owned by Internet-based background check companies. Access to this information based on User ID and password-only places your valuable "stored" data at risk.
Data Security
Cleves Research utilizes a 512-bit encryption technology with a Notes Domino solution to ensure your employee and applicant data is safe. This same technology is used by the FBI. This level of security utilizes “ID” files with an encryption key, certificate, and password. There is an “authentication” process that occurs before the person is able to access the server and its files. Presently your employee order and result data may be on a vendor-controlled web server and the only security is a User ID name and password or simply the firewall used.
If your organization requires a centralized repository for stored results, we offer a Notes client solution that would allow your organization access to your data secured by Notes encryption and without the risks of an internet browser data interface. The requirement is at least one Notes client and preferably a working Notes Infrastructure.

Sharon Sutila, Managing Director
Sharon Sutila acquired a Bachelor of Engineering Technology from the University of South Florida in 1992 and became a Business Process Reengineering Consultant implementing strategic changed initiatives in Integrated Product Development, Release for Announcement, and Client Relationship Management (in Configuration and Sales Force Automation.) Specific areas of specialty are transformation management, deployment, communication, and end-user relationship management. Armed with this experience, Ms. Sutila built the Cluso internal background check processing engine implementing the first quality control standard in the industry. It has also led to an implementation of the most secure report management tool available in the market today using role-based security to quickly and easily find reports, only showing identifying data necessary for the person viewing the result of a background check or drug screen. All emailed reports have masked identity information and no internet browser based access ensures complete security of identities in our system.
Amy Beebe, USA Director of Operations
Graduated from Immaculata College with a Bachelors of Science in Clinical Dietetics in 1988. Worked for Marriot Corporation as a Clinical Dietitian, and Food Service Director until 1997. After starting a family, started with CGI Inc, as an administrator, and moved quickly to Contracts Manager, for the IBM Contract. CGI was bought by ARC, then Pomeroy IT Services INC, but still continued in overseeing management of the IBM contract, and was an integral part of the development of the Vendor Management Program for all companies. Worked closely with IBM procurement on AR and billing processes and payroll for the Vendor Management Program, as well as was chiefly responsible for quality control of the candidate investigation processing for IBM vendors, subcontractors and employees. For the past four years, Ms. Beebe has had oversight of all report processing and operational aspects of Cleves Research LLC.
Prabir Kumar, India Director of Operations
Prabir Kumar acquired a Certificate of IT Enabled Service Aptitude & Technical Indexation and Advanced Diploma in PC Application (APA) from NIIT, and also holds a Bachelor of Engineering Technology in Computer Science. Prabir Kumar is responsible for new development, research and operations oversight for Cluso Infolink Pvt Ltd. India (India company). Mr. Kumar has held various operational roles prior to initiating this background research company from India in 2006 (co-founded with Ms. Sutila.) Mr. Kumar has experience in sales Decisive Leadership, Business Systems Development, Cross-Functional Team Leadership, Strategic Business Planning, and marketing experience in various roles and industries. Prior to Cleves, he served as Commercial Executive. Mr. Kumar ensures quality results from India.
